As of November 2007, the Dewar Wildlife Trust (DWT), which funds Gorilla Haven, will have to actively ask its supporters and friends for help funding our future. Click here for details, but know that by giving to Gorilla Haven, your money is maximized in its effectiveness. Unlike other nonprofits, Steuart and I get no salary from our work helping gorillas .. none. Indeed, we donate up to 90% of our own hard-earned income to keep the dream alive. Now, we need to ask for help.
We'll be working on ideas, such as adoptions, special tours or visits, auctions, etc, to raise money, but meanwhile, if you can help in any way, please do so with our sincerest gratitude.
If you want to donate to one of the many other primate projects we've supported (and still support as much as we can), you can still send money earmarked for them, and we will forward 100%, as we've always done in the past. But un-specified donations will go into the DWT building fund until further notice. We're showing below what the completion of Gorilla Haven is going to cost.
